libdbd-mysql software package provides MySQL database server driver for libdbi, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdbd-mysql
libdbd-mysql is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdbd-mysql package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdbd-mysql *
You will get with libdbd-mysql package name, version, architecture and description in a table
